#handdyedbyusforewe, these unique wool tops come out of The Lucky Ewe dye kitchen at Oatlands, Tasmania and only one of each colourway is available. Colours are as described and I photograph under bright white light. Please be aware that colours may vary on different devices. Every effort is made to ensure my hand dyed products are colourfast and lightfast but as with all hand dyed products a small amount of residual colour may be lost in working up and/or in the first wash. Handwash results gently - this fibre will felt. Please do not use eucalyptus-based wool washes with The Lucky Ewe hand dyed products as eucalyptus is a stain remover and may cause colour to come away from the fibre. A neutral wool wash or even a mild shampoo is best.
Beersheba Farm 'Castledale' wool combed top is "to dye for". For spinners and felters this luxury fibre is in the 24-27 micron range, has a beautiful handle and is so easy to work with. Established by Wendy Beer of Beersheba Farm (Vic) this work-in-progress sheep breed has been developed especially for the woolcrafter as easy spinning with a good length of fibre as well as sheen and bounce. This fibre is totally processed in Australia (Victoria) and carries the Australian Fibre Collective licensed trademark as well as being certified Made in Australia.
The Lucky Ewe is an approved re-seller of natural Beersheba fleece wool and natural white processed wool tops.
