This fleece is from a young animal 8 - 10 months of age. This is the sheep's first shearing. Soft, lustrous and showing plenty of the characteristic curl. The locks are well defined.
The Wanstead Park English Leicester flock is registered with the ASSBA. They live in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania. As a heritage Rare Breed, there are limited numbers left in Australia. Their wool is prized for its wonderful lustre.
