The Wanstead Park English Leicester flock is registered with the ASSBA. They live in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania. As a heritage Rare Breed, there are limited numbers left in Australia. Their wool is prized for its wonderful lustre.
This plus 1.5kg of greasy fleece is from a young animal around 10 months of age. This is the first shearing. Soft, lustrous and showing super duper characteristic curl. This fleece has been picked twice and should be free of VM ...but you may find a stray prickle ( we hope not).
Ideal for felting, lock spinning, dolls' hair, this wool will scour to a brilliant shiny white and slurp up dye with gusto.
